The size of Laredo’s workforce continues to seesaw from month to month

Although Laredo’s unemployment rate has recovered slightly since the initial shock of the pandemic, it has not stabilized. Over the last five months of available workforce data, the number of people unemployed in Laredo has see-sawed between around 8,500 and 10,500.

The ninth annual edition of the “Hiring Red, White & You!” job fair is coming up Nov. 5, and Texas Workforce Solutions for South Texas is hard at work attracting as many veterans seeking jobs as possible for the event.
