UISD partners with Workforce Solutions to host job fair

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – A Laredo school district is partnering with Workforce Solutions to connect job seekers with the right opportunities.

On Tuesday, December 3, Workforce Solutions for South Texas and United ISD will host the Almost Winter Job Fair.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Family Matters Resource Center, located at 4906 US-83.

Positions in education, customer service and retail are among the roles employers aim to fill. As for those interested, organizers say it’s important to keep a few things in mind.

According to the Business Service Representative for Workforce Solutions, Krystal Ramirez, “If you are coming in looking for a job, I recommend that you bring a resume, but it’s okay if they don’t happen to have a resume. We will have customer service reps from Workforce to help assist with the resumes and of course, always come dressed to impress so you can make that first impression.”

For those with little to no job experience, Workforce Solutions says not to worry, and that they are trained to help you out as well.
