Veteran discusses the importance of hiring events

The ninth annual edition of the “Hiring Red, White & You!” job fair is coming up Nov. 5, and Texas Workforce Solutions for South Texas is hard at work attracting as many veterans seeking jobs as possible for the event.

Statewide, the rate of unemployed veterans stands at around 8.3%, and locally it is about the same or more according to statistics offered by the Texas Veterans Leadership Program.
